Welcome to PUGARITA KARATE DO, the neighborhood Karate Dojo with all the amenities you’d expect to find in World Class Dojo. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned Martial Artist, our Professional Sensei is trained to assist you in effectively reaching your goals. PUGARITA KARATE DO provides the Traditional Shito Ryu Style, NO CONTRACTS, OPEN CLASS TIMES, GREAT ENVIRONMENT. Come and try it…NO EXCUSES!!!

For many years, PUGRITA KARATE DO has been providing friendly, personal attention to its members, helping them develop discipline, courage, respect and phisical healt. We are here to help you reach all of your karate Do Potencial. Regardless of whether you’ve ever set foot in a Dojo before, our Shihan will train you with the traditional karate Do Shito Ryu style.

OUR INSTRUCTOR/OWNER SHIHAN FRANK PUGARITA

Shihan Frank Pugarita is the Director for the Shito-Kai organization for the North East area, with a 5th degree black belt and over 40 years of experience. We are members of the USA Shito Kai (The American Chapter of the World Shito ryu Karate Federation of Japan).

He is a former gold medalist and the Pan American Team coach. He is being teaching in the united States for over 20 years having many students become National Karate Champions. He is charismatic karate instructor focus on Discipline, Respect and Character development. Founder of the Non-Profit Organization “Karate for all”, non-profit aim to help under privilege kids and special needs children in the MD, VA and DC area. He started his Dojo with the motto of “Where Tradition is Found” this is because he follows the traditional Karate Do principals and is center to preserve the family respect, traditional values, always given respect to his teacher Kyoshi Sato for the training and knowledge he provides him.

My name is Delmy Vasquez, I am currently a 2nd degree black belt at PKD. I've been doing Shito-Ryu karate since I was 13, and ever since then I've fallen in love with karate.

Kunshi no Ken (The Noble Discipline)

Mabuni’s motto “Kunshi no Ken” which means to concentrate on cultivating oneself to become a well-rounded, respectful individual. The person who is able to accomplish this as well as to exercise good manners in all situations with self-discipline and respect, who is able to assume accountability for one’s actions, and to keep one’s integrity as to set an example for others, is considered a Shito-ryu practitioner.
